Carlos Guerra biography

The Quito artist reflects in his work the harmony of nature at its best. More than a wonderful scenery, he takes us on a journey of colors and sensations that simply elevate the soul to a state of joy and satisfaction. Inspired by the forest, his dynamic leaves that play with the wind and its infinite ways, the artist has managed to project with his spatula the strength, beauty and peace of landscapes, which reach a harmonious contrast and embody a texture in the canvas.

Guerra has received numerous awards for his paintings. In 1986 he won the Third Prize awarded by the Municipality of Quito, on the occasion of the CXL anniversary of the foundation of the Central University of Ecuador.

In 1996 he exhibited at the Guayaquil and Quito venues of the Filanbanco bank in Guayaquil in 1997, he also presented his paintings in the Loja City Hall and at the Tungurahua Club in Ambato.

Abroad he participated in “EXPO CATALUNYA” in Barcelona – Spain in 2004.
In 2014 he participated in the IV International Biennial of Painting at the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum, in Guayaquil.
