BIENAL- MUSEO LUIS NOBOA -ECUAODRTIMES

Oils, acrylics, mixed, and other techniques, were used in the works that take part of an exhibition that opens today at the Luis A. Noboa Naranjo Museum. These proposals were admitted to the International Painting Biennial of Guayaquil, organized by this institution.

This year _ the axis of the competition has focused on paying a tribute to woman, although the subject was free. “Most artists have poured into the woman theme, there are many abstract, realism, surrealist, magical realism wotks, but they all speak of the woman,” says Pablo Martinez, director of the museum.

It explains that the aim of this competition, in its fifth edition, is “to promote and disseminate” the work of young artists, especially of the most recent.

A total of 200 works from 21 countries (Asia, Europe and Latin America) entered this contest. Only 99 are part of the exhibition that will remain open until May 28.
