KEYNOTE SPEECH OF THE PHILANTROPIST ALVARO NOBOA PONTON AT THE IV INTERNATIONAL BIENNAL OF GUAYAQUIL

Ladies and Gentlemen
Good night

What a huge thrill I feel to be standing here in front of you, contemplating hundreds of beautiful artworks with messages from `The Bible’.

to also know that we are on the 4th edition of the International Biennial of Guayaquil, `Alvaro Noboa Ponton’. It is a very important achievemetn for the art, culture and education of our country.

It is also an excellent introduction letter to all countries in the world that here in Ecuador, we want to live in peace and harmony, cultivating and teaching our artists, our poets, our musicians and all who create positive things for the community and society.

As I stated earlier, there is no more support and contribution to our country than promoting art, culture and education. Because without art there is no history, no culture, no peace, and without education there is no civilization.

That is why I want to thank the jury of this Biennial and the artists from Germany, Italy, Russia, Poland, Spain, Portugal, Azerbaijan, USA, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Cuba, Peru, Bolivia and our country Ecuador for its participation, as well as my collaborators from the Luis Noboa Naranjo Museum.

I would like to present you the winners of the Biennial, these are:
