Convocation of the III Alvaro Noboa Biennial of Painting

The Luis A. Noboa Naranjo Museum convokes national and international artists to participate in the III Guayaquil International “Álvaro Noboa” Biennial of Painting to be held from April 5 to May 5, 2012.

The principal theme will be Elements of Nature. Technique to be employed is oil or acrylic on canvas. Size should not exceed 150 cm x 150 cm with a minimum of 80 cm by 60 cm. Rights to the prize-winning works will be ceded to the Luis A. Noboa Naranjo Museum and artists will be responsible for costs for packing and shipping.

Interested artists should include their basic information and photographs, together with the duly framed paintings. Up to two framed and ready to exhibit works will be accepted until 7pm on 5 March 2012 at the administrative offices of the museum, located on the first floor of the Seguros Cóndor Building (P. Icaza 302 and Córdova)

First prize will include $10,000; the second, $5,000; and 5 Newcomer Prizes of $1,000 each.  More information is available at
