The Museum organizes III Alvaro Noboa Painting Biennial

The Luis A. Noboa Naranjo Museum is calling on national and international artists to participate in the III Guayaquil International Biennial of Painting “Álvaro Noboa”, which will take place from 5 April until 5 May 2012.

“The Elements of Nature” will be the theme for this year and the technique, oil or acrylic on canvas; the format should not exceed 150 x 150 cm, with a minimum of 80 x 60 cm.

Rights to prize-winning works will transfer to the museum and works should not be submitted with a valuation as it is a competition.

The works should be sent accompanied with the biographical information, as well as a photograph, of the artist for publicity purposes and the museum archive. Works will be received until 7pm on 5 March 2012.

First place, the Grand Álvaro Noboa Acquisition Prize, consists of $10,000; second place, $5,000; and five Biennial Newcomer Acquisition Prizes of $1,000 dollars each will also be bestowed.
